During the Three Sides to Every Story event in London, Filix’s Marko Jurman presented Tria, a new lighting system designed by Dean Skira and developed by Filix.

In his Pecha Kucha presentation, Marko explained how Tria redefines the approach to outdoor and landscape lighting by combining design, engineering, and practicality into a single system.

Lighting designers often face the challenge of managing dozens of luminaires, long cabling runs, and complex coordination in large outdoor projects. Tria was created to simplify that process. Its core idea is to recreate all key lighting and communication functions through one modular pole system, reducing the number of fixtures and connection points needed across a site.

Tria integrates lighting, communication, and connectivity within one structure. Each pole can combine projectors, pathway lights, sensors, signage, and banners — adapting seamlessly to spaces that evolve over time, from private gardens to large urban areas.

The system is available in three sizes, Tria S, M, and L, ranging from 0.5 m to 8 m in height. At its core is Quick Connect, Filix’s IP66-rated outdoor light-track system that enables simple installation, on-site adjustments, and easy maintenance.

Marko summarized the concept clearly:

“Bottom line, Tria is about simplifying the process — allowing designers to recreate complex outdoor scenes through a single post.”
