An immersive experience of light, connection, and innovation
On April 25th, Dubai played host to a truly unforgettable experience — the launch of Tria through the signature Filix workshop concept: Dark Walk. The event brought together lighting professionals, designers, and industry partners for a night that seamlessly blended creativity, conversation, and exploration.
The evening began with a relaxed outdoor welcome, where guests reconnected with familiar faces and meet new ones. The atmosphere was light and informal, setting the tone for an evening where technology and human connection would go hand in hand. As dusk fell, conversations shifted inside where the main exhibition and presentation areas awaited.
The centerpiece of the evening was the Dark Walk experience — a curated, sensory walkthrough designed to reframe how we perceive light. Visitors were invited to wear custom FILIX blindfolds as part of an orchestrated lighting reveal, allowing them to disconnect visually before rediscovering light through the innovative TRIA series. The unveiling was both poetic and powerful, as the darkness gave way to light, revealing an intricate installation that emphasized form, texture, and shadow in a way only thoughtful design can.
The Tria system, a modular approach to outdoor architectural lighting, was introduced through a blend of storytelling and technical insight. The presentation by Skira Studio’s Dean Skira, who designed Tria, brought clarity and depth to the system’s concept — one built on flexibility, visual comfort, and sustainable design. His talk highlighted not just the product, but the philosophy behind it: lighting that respects both people and place.
Throughout the night, the room buzzed with dialogue. Product experts, designers, and partners gathered around the installation zones, interacting with the luminaires, exchanging impressions, and discussing future applications. It was an evening not just of unveiling but of engagement — with many guests describing it as one of the most thoughtfully staged product launches they’ve attended.
A standout moment came during the performance segment, where a futuristic dancer lit up in electroluminescent lines, embodying the theme of light in motion. This symbolic moment brought together art, technology, and emotion in one compelling visual.
As the evening progressed, the conversations continued outdoors under warm Dubai skies. Surrounded by string lights and music, the gathering turned into a celebration of shared values — innovation, collaboration, and a passion for purposeful design.
The Tria launch in Dubai wasn’t just an event; it was an experience — intimate, interactive, and inspiring. With a format that allowed people to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the essence of light.
