The Beacon Awards, organized by the Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), celebrate innovation, design excellence, and positive impact across the lighting industry.
This year’s ceremony took place on October 29th, 2025, at Sony Hall in New York City, gathering leading figures from the global lighting and architectural design community.
Now in its second year, the Beacon Awards recognize outstanding achievements across multiple categories, including architectural and decorative product design. All proceeds from the event support the Lana Lenar Lighting Empowerment Scholarship, which funds education for future lighting designers.
We are proud to share that Filix Lighting has received First Prize for Architectural Product Design for the Tria System, designed by Dean Skira.
According to the jury:
“This one pole is multi-useful, ensures sustainability, and is timelessly modern.”
The Tria System redefines the role of a lighting pole by merging illumination, smart technology, and signage into one adaptable structure.
Available in three scalable sizes — S, M, and L — Tria is designed for applications ranging from private landscapes to large-scale urban and hospitality developments.
At its core are two proprietary innovations:
-
Quick Fit — enables effortless installation, maintenance, repositioning, and fixture upgrades without drilling or structural intervention.
-
Smart Fit — transforms the pole into a multifunctional platform capable of integrating Wi-Fi modules, cameras, motion and environmental sensors, digital or static signage, and remote monitoring and control.
Constructed from anodized aluminum with marine-grade powder coating, Tria ensures long-term durability and reduced environmental impact through minimized material use and simplified installation.
Winning this award represents more than a product achievement, it marks a step forward for Croatian innovation on the global stage.
By presenting our design and engineering capabilities internationally, we aim to expand the visibility of European lighting excellence and open new opportunities for collaboration worldwide.
As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to advancing intelligent lighting systems that connect technology, architecture, and human experience.
