We’re pleased to welcome Richard Holmes to the Filix team as our new partner based in the Middle East. With more than 30 years of experience in the lighting industry, Richard brings a unique combination of technical know-how, strategic insight, and regional expertise that will support the continued growth of Filix in this dynamic market.

A Proven Track Record in the Region

Richard’s career began in hands-on technical roles and evolved into sales leadership and regional strategy. For 17 years, he served as Regional Director at iGuzzini Middle East, where he helped grow the business from €4M to €24M. Alongside a strong team, he delivered award-winning lighting solutions across some of the most iconic architectural projects in the region.

Deep Knowledge of the Middle East Market

Having lived in the Middle East for over 20 years, Richard understands the culture and complexity of doing business in the region. He has led projects in sectors ranging from hospitality and commercial to infrastructure and public realm, always focusing on collaboration, creativity, and practical solutions.

A Strategic Role at Filix

As a partner, Richard will focus on strengthening Filix’s presence in the Middle East. His role includes building strong specifications, collaborating with design professionals, and promoting our products, services, and technical capabilities in a competitive and fast-moving market.

More Than Just Business

Outside of work, Richard is a proud father of two teenagers, a design and architecture enthusiast, and a loyal Leicester City supporter. He enjoys early morning walks, podcasts, DIY projects, and the occasional round of golf—strictly average, by his own admission.
