The most comprehensive underwater lighting workshop is once again touring to reach lighting communities globally. After a two year break and a test run in Barcelona in October 2021, Filix has decided that it is time to reactivate and improve the unique lighting workshop. The information gathered thru several years of research, analysis and development has been compiled into „Make a Splash“ – an underwater lighting workshop where you will be introduced to:

1. Underwater Lighting Fundamentals
2. Designing Lighting in swimming pools and water features
3. Hands-on Pool Installation - Workshop/Mock-up 

The workshop was developed back in 2018. by Ivica Jekić, who still runs it and has since been known as the pool guy as he jumped in well over 20 pools. The lighting communities in Bangkok, Dubai, Manila, NYC, Gothenburg, L.A., London, designers visiting PLDC 2019, IED LUCE 2019 Madrid as well as many other private events have brought more exposure to the importance of proper lighting design in underwater architecture. 

"The goal is to bring the workshop to over 10 locations in 2022 and interact with 300 new followers. The impact on the quality of projects where underwater lighting is included for users after participating is enourmous and the understanding of basic behavoiurs of light under water is simply presented with the live mockup" says Ivica. The London workshop this week will be the fifth this year which leaves us hopeful that we will exceed the goal of 10 events for 2022.
